Date

How to read the timetable

Each row is one departure: date, route, time, crossing time and operator. The Route column shows the ports at both ends, and in Croatia that matters: many islands have several ports, and catamarans on one line often call at several islands in turn. For the return trip, switch the direction; outbound and return sailings usually have different times.

From Italy to Croatia

The Adriatic crossings are the long routes on this page. The ferry from Ancona leaves in the evening and reaches Split the next morning; the ferry from Bari to Dubrovnik runs in season. If you are crossing with your car, you book the vehicle space together with a cabin or seat.

Details on the terminal, cabins and vehicles are on the Ancona - Split and Bari - Dubrovnik pages.

From Split to the islands

Split is the hub for central Dalmatia. The catamarans to Hvar, Brač, Šolta, Korčula and Vis leave from Split's city port, on the eastern side of the harbour in the centre. Several operators sail the route to Hvar throughout the day.

The Split - Brač, Split - Šolta, Split - Korčula and Split - Vis pages compare the other ports on Brač, Šolta, Korčula and Vis.

From Dubrovnik to southern Dalmatia

From Dubrovnik, catamarans run to Korčula, Mljet and the Elaphiti Islands; the line to Split calls at Mljet, Korčula and Hvar on the way. Boats leave from Gruž port, not from the old town.

From Zadar to the islands

From Zadar, catamarans run to Dugi Otok, Silba, Olib and Premuda. One line links Zadar with Pula in Istria via Silba, Mali Lošinj and the Kvarner islands.

Timetable FAQ

Timetable FAQs

Questions about departure times.

How often do ferries to Croatia run? +

It depends on the route. Several operators sail between Split and Hvar throughout the day, and there are also several departures a day to Korčula and to Supetar on Brač. The overnight ferries from Ancona to Split run on certain days of the week, and the crossings from Bari and Venice only in season.

Why do I see several routes to the same island? +

Because many islands have more than one port. From Split you can reach Brač at Supetar, Bol, Milna and Sutivan, Mljet at Sobra and Polače, and Hvar at Hvar Town and Jelsa. Choose the route to the port closest to where you are staying.

What does an empty result mean? +

Usually that the route isn't served that day. Many catamarans run more often in summer than in winter, and some lines take a break outside the season. Try a neighbouring day or another port on the same island.

Are Jadrolinija's car ferries included here? +

No. Jadrolinija sells tickets for the car ferries between the mainland and the islands, such as Split - Stari Grad, Valbiska - Merag or Brestova - Porozina, itself at the port and online. Our guide to car ferries in Croatia explains which lines there are and how things work at the port.

How much do the ferries in the timetable cost? +

The price depends on the route, the date and your vehicle. The prices page explains how the ticket price is made up; the booking step shows the amount for your departure.
