Catamarans from Split

The catamarans do not carry vehicles and are faster than the car ferries. They leave from Split city port, on the eastern waterfront in the centre.

Hvar

Three operators sail to Hvar Town in around an hour. TP Line serves the line all year round. Details on Split - Hvar.

Brač

The quickest option is Supetar, around 20 minutes. Milna on the western tip of the island takes 25 to 60 minutes depending on the operator, and with Krilo Shipping Company it is served in winter too. Bol and Sutivan are only served in season. All lines on Split - Brač.

Šolta

The catamaran to Rogač takes around 30 minutes and runs twice a day all year round. More on Split - Šolta.

Vis

One catamaran a day sails to Vis, taking around 70 minutes, in winter too. More on Split - Vis.

Korčula

Korčula takes 2 hours 20 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes depending on the operator. TP Line sails all year, Krilo Kapetan Luka in season. More on Split - Korčula.

Dubrovnik and Mljet

In season, catamarans run along the coast to Dubrovnik, stopping at the islands in between, and to Pomena on Mljet. More on Split - Dubrovnik.

Car ferries from Split

With your car, you cross with Jadrolinija:

  • Brač: Split - Supetar, around 50 minutes, no reservation
  • Hvar: Split - Stari Grad, around two hours, with reservation
  • Šolta: Split - Rogač, around one hour, with reservation
  • Vis: Split - Vis, around 2 hours 20 minutes, with reservation
  • Korčula and Lastovo: Split - Vela Luka - Ubli, around three hours to Vela Luka and another hour and a half to Ubli, with reservation

Without a reservation, your ticket is valid for any departure on the date printed on it, and cars board in order of arrival. Jadrolinija recommends being at the port 1 to 2 hours before departure. With a reservation, the ticket is only valid for the departure you booked; in winter you must be there 30 minutes beforehand, and in summer Jadrolinija recommends 60 minutes. The guide Car ferries in Croatia explains every line in the country.

Departure and check-in

For the catamarans, the operators recommend being at the quay at least 15 minutes before departure. Krilo Shipping Company advises 15 to 20 minutes, or 30 minutes in peak season. The departure time and the operator are shown on your ticket.

If you arrive on the overnight ferry from Ancona, you dock at the city port, a few minutes' walk from the old town. The page Ferries from Italy to Croatia compares all the crossings from Italy.

Combining several islands

Some lines link the islands directly, such as Milna - Rogač between Brač and Šolta, or Hvar - Korčula. The guide Island hopping in Croatia shows how to combine several islands into one route. Book your ticket via the departures at the top of this page; the prices page explains how fares are made up.
