Getting there and the terminal
The catamaran to Rogač leaves from Split's city port, on the eastern side of the harbour in the centre. The second line starts in Milna on Brač and links the two islands without going via Split. Our guide to island hopping in Croatia shows more connections between the islands, and the ferries from Split page lists all lines from Split.
Check-in
Krilo Shipping Company recommends arriving 15 to 20 minutes before departure, and 30 minutes in peak season.
On board
The crossing is short, usually under half an hour, and the catamarans are seating-only boats without cabins. Each passenger's ticket includes a standard suitcase up to 20 kilograms plus a smaller piece of hand luggage; larger or extra bags may be charged for when you book.
Vehicles and bikes
Both lines are passenger-only catamarans that don't carry vehicles.
Arrival and onward travel
Rogač is Šolta's main ferry port and the starting point for buses into the interior of the island, for example to Grohote, the largest village. If you travel on, you will find the picturesque fishing village of Maslinica with its colourful boats in the west of the island. The second line from Milna on Brač also ends in Rogač, so both connections use the same quay.
